Code of conduct
The club only works if people feel able to ask the obvious question and to disagree with the room. That requires a few rules.
What we expect
- Attack ideas, not people. Say a claim is wrong, and say why. Do not tell someone they are stupid for making it.
- Assume the question is genuine. Nobody arrives knowing everything. “Basic” questions are often the ones the whole room needed asked.
- Leave room for others. If you have spoken three times and someone has not spoken once, let them go first.
- Respect the presenter’s preparation. Hold detailed objections until the discussion half unless they block understanding.
- Cancel your seat if you cannot come. Seats are limited, and someone is on the waitlist.
What is not acceptable
- Harassment, intimidation, or comments directed at someone’s gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, age or appearance.
- Unwanted physical contact or sexual attention.
- Recording or photographing individuals who have asked not to be.
- Using the club as a recruitment channel or sales floor without asking the organisers first.
- Sustained disruption of a session.
If something goes wrong
Tell an organiser at the session, or write to admin@dhakaaipc.com. Reports are handled privately. We will not share your name with the person you are reporting without asking you first.
Organisers may ask someone to stop, ask them to leave a session, or decline future reservations. We would much rather have a quiet word early than remove someone later.
